second day.

so today was fun filled and beautiful. after breakfast me and my roomate, lucille aka lou, went to the markelet and bought a TON of food. then we had all day orientations, lunch, and we got our school schedules. i REALLY dont enjoy one of my teachers but im not going to say which because i dont want him to see this through teachers or something. its about 5:56 right now and im sitting in the zula, which is the student lounge. dinner is in about an hour and im SUPER hungry. moran made me feel better about my not so nice teacher. i like my roomates for the most part. i have the back room with lou.

right now im listening to mr. pittiful by matt costa.

im learning a lot of hebrew.

i love it here.

ive only been here like two days and i already never want to leave.

oh, and there are stray cats and dogs that run around the kibbutz. there is a new puppy and he is SOOOO cute, but we're not allowed to touch him.

first day.

Hello friends.

Today is my first day in Israel.

I absolutly LOVE it here.

The plane ride was not fun because my head hurt and I couldn't sleep even though I bought stuff to make me sleep. 

Right now I'm in my room with my three room mates, all fromthe east coast. I'm so tired. i dont want to make real sentences.

my tummy hurts.

im sitting on the balcony looking out upon the lights of jerusalem, its THE single most beautiful thing that i have ever seen.

it looks like there is fog all thgougout the city.

ahhhh.

the internet here sucks and i almost freaked out because when i went to sign onto my blog i realized it was all it hebrew.

thank god that one of my room mates can semi speak hebrew.

moran shani is one of our madrachim on bus three, he's an israeli from camp, and i absolutly LOVE that man. he is so nice and makes me feel welcomed.

i dont really know what to say anymore, our shomer lilah (night guard) is going to be another one of our madrachim, sarah somethingoranother.

i love you all and miss you like crazy.

I realized that the baby powder smell was coming from me, it was the body wash in the shower.

WHY?

In The Heights.

Today mom, me, nancy, sam, and joseph, went to a matinee of In The Heights the musical. It was a very interesting show. All about these Latinos who wanted to make a better life for their community in New York. The dancing was kinda a mix between hip hop, modern, and salsa. It smelt like baby powder throughout the whole thing, and I knew that it wasn't me. Then we had to go back to the place where we had lunch (I didn't eat anything because I had just eaten grape nuts with lactaid chocolate milk for breakfast an hour earlier) and get my scarf that I forgot there. Then me and mom came home and I played wii for about an hour and a half. I've gotten really good I must admit.

I'm all packed up now, unfortunately I had to get rid of a whole bunch of stuff, and tomorrow I'm off off and away to the land of milk and honey.

Leather Jacket.

Hello friends, today I bought a leather jacket.

But first, lets go over last night: mom and I went and saw Chicago! Yeeee. It was great. Bob Fosse dancing and all. But what was a little odd was the choice of Roxie Hart, who was played by Michael's boss in the office. Weird huh? But yeah, she wasn't a great dancer, which was a bum because that was what the role was all about. Whatevskeets though.

Umm. So today, mom and I finally left the house at 2 and went to the plaza. Ahhh, I've wanted to be Eloise sooo bad ever since I was a little child. The plaza was as beautiful as ever. I never wanted to leave. Then I got to show mom the cool apple store, and soon it was off to H&M to get my leather jacket. I LOVE IT. I'm so excited to wear it tomorrow. 

AH, seriously, cab drivers hate us. 

We tried to get a cab and he just said NO. Who does that? Really?

We finally got one of those black cars the drive us home, he was super nice, but he drove wild (just like the rest of um).

Oh. We had really good pizza and pasta for lunch. 

So when we got home I taught mom how to play wii. I think that I peed my pants laughing so hard. Then I challenged myself to a game of wii tennis by holding both remotes in my hands and going back and forth between the screens...everyone should do it....SO FUN.

Afterwards:

Coffee ice cream/yogurt, brownies, more wii, and facebook. 

I'm leaving in a day.

Ah.

Today me and mom went to Soho to go shopping. 

Cousin Sam gave us his subway pass so we got on for free. 

We decided to follow three French girls around the tube...they got us lost. 

Of course, because I hate getting lost in situations like this, I freaked out.

We finally got to Soho and it was freezing again. I didn't buy anything but some earings, and now I regret not buying this really cute leather jacket from H&M.

Ahhhh, I didn't have the best of days today.

It is now official that New York is crossed off of my optional states to live in when I grow up.

What else.....hmmm....

There are soo many accents here. That is one thing I like about New York.

To make up for my badish day, mom bought some baclavah. AND I recycled in New York, I thought that there was too much trash here, thus no hope. But no, I was relieved to know that there are bins about every 2-3 blocks.

I never really realized how many friends I had at home until I left.

Now I'm semi sad that I didn't make the most out of Carmel people during 1st semester and what not. But at least now I know that when I come home, there will be a great greeting for me.

Anyways, tonight mom and I are going to go see chicago, and of course I'm stupid and forgot a nice dress. I have nothing to wear. I want to go hide under a rock. and I'm tired. and I'm whining, which I dont want to do because I SHOULD be having fun.

Mean Cabbys.

Today mom and I went to kill time at a mall right down the street before our matinee of South Pacific. Man do I love musicals. The show was very good, but VERY VERY long. I got really tired about halfway through. We left at about 5 and got into a cab. That was my first experience with a mean cab driver, he was SOOOO rude. Mom had a bad taste in her mouth so she spit into a napkin and he FREAKED out. Saying that it was a way of  public transportation and that it was gross and unpolite. I thought that cab drivers were weird, but I'm sure that they have seen way worse things and not fliped out. Now we are back at the house and I am really tired. 

I also have to REPACK all of my stuff because I have too too much.

Reading the Source and Beautiful Boy, watch bad plane tv shows, sleep on plane, run outside with bags in freezing cold weather, get into driver's car, talk about the Israeli-Palestine conflict, eat pasta salad cookies and tea, get into body mold bed.

I'm videochatting with Sperm right now. I'm going to miss her a lot while I am gone.

Yesterday I bought the rest of my clothes for Israel and I spent the day with dad.

So, last night...

First let me talk about yesterday, aka worst day of my life. I had 2 finals as well as a math test. My brain was on the verge of exploding when this kid in my English class made THE most anti-Semitic comment to me. He made his fingers into a Hitler mustache raised his arm and started to say things in German. I was so offended that I just left the class. 

Then after class I chewed his head off. He deserved it. 

Then, more bad things happened: Couldn't take my permit test so how I'm going to have to wait until June. No fun. 

But things started to lighten up in the evening, no worries:My dad came over and gave me my new Toms. YAY.

Then Emily came over and we got ready for the "red light green light" dance.

We went to the dance, made up some new dance moves, and then walked home when it was over.

THEN, we went over to Zack's house and played video games.

Emily became really delirious and started to laugh at everything, and then she crashed on the top bunk. 

We left at 12:15 am. 

Blahh.

2nd Blog.

 I'm having a bad day. I'm scared that I will never graduate high school, go to college, and never get a job. Thus all of my family abandoning me and hating me. 

All I want to do is make them proud, but its so hard for me to do so when I dont have that natural drive to succeed. 

I would much rather do the work that I am able to do without my teachers being horrible people and hating me. 

Finals are on thursday and friday for me. 

Lets hope I pass.

Also, I dont like this kid Jeff who goes to my school. He is ignorant and dumb.
